What Remains

It's surprisingly difficult to identify the exact moment when something becomes something else. Each image shares something with the one beside it, creating a sequence of changes so gradual they barely register. Yet follow the chain long enough and the destination can feel astonishingly distant from the starting point. The experience suggests that identity may be less fixed than it first appears. What seem like separate ideas, objects, or categories can sometimes be connected by a series of transformations hiding in plain sight. By the end, all that remains is the same energy.
